We give Sona a bath every night as part of her winding down routine. It’s something I genuinely enjoy doing and there’s just nothing better than a squeaky clean babe. I remember when she started realizing it was bath time and this big smile would take over her face. She has always loved being in the water. We’ve gone through all the stages with her – being in the little tub and her just laying there immobile to now, in the big tub and she moves around like crazy. She’s up and down, splashing and kicking. We still love bath time but it’s definitely more difficult getting her to sit still. That’s where the bath toys come in.
We had received a ton of bath toys from our baby shower. They were all so cute and I was excited about her playing with them. But it wasn’t until a little while after she had been using them that I read about how bath toys can be dangerous with mold and cheap plastics. The last thing I wanted was to have her playing with toys that could be damaging but I also didn’t want to banish toys from bath time either. I started researching what plastics were safe to use and what companies emphasize on smarter & safer practices. In addition to buying more toys that didn’t have holes in them, I partnered with NubyUSA and started using the Little Submarine bath toy. She LOVES this submarine and what I love most about it is it’s BPA-Free and it’s from a company I trust. She started using it at 11 months but babies 6+ months can definitely use it too. It has an easy to pull string and you just pull and watch it swim. She gets a kick out of it every time and has just started to pull the string herself. I’ve started taking it outside and putting it in our little blow up pool and at the lake house. I’ve attached a link here on Amazon where you can purchase your own!
I received this product for a review, but all opinions are my own.
